Review Written by OOSA Online Book Club "O.O.S.A. Gets It Read!"

4.0 out of 5 stars Let Go and Let God!, November 27, 2011
At one point or another on our journey throughout life we ask ourselves two important questions, how did we get to the point we're in, in our lives, and who are we really? In "It Had to Happen," author Cynthia A. Patterson assists the reader in finding the answers to these two questions while providing the tools for the reader to connect with God.

Each chapter begins with a helpful quote to jumpstart the chapter and ends with questions and the reader journaling their response. The author provides detailed biblical passages to help open and close doors in a reader's life and begin a future of empowered change.

Pick yourself up a copy. I'm certain you will not be disappointed. What is the saying? It's easier to let go and let God. Happy Reading!

This review is from: It Had to Happen (Paperback)
In It Had To Happen by Cynthia A. Patterson readers are provided tools that will help them find their purpose and strengthen their relationship with God. This book is a guide that focuses on emotions, experiences and self-discovery. This nine-chaptered book includes biblical examples, end of the chapter questions and reflections to journal to give readers techniques for devotion.

It Had To Happen is a book of healing and restoration. I enjoyed chapter five, Don't Give Up! because it expresses to readers that God does not break a promise and what He has for you no one will be able to take it away. You must always seek Him first in your time of need through prayer. I also enjoyed chapter six because it explains the spiritual qualities such as humility and determination readers will need to fight distractions that will try to stop you from returning to God.

I have read previous self-help, inspirational and motivational books and this one was truly written as a teaching tool. The author uses powerful biblical examples so that readers can understand the message from the book. The book allows readers to learn from the lessons by providing them with end of the chapter questions. These questions will give readers the opportunity to come to terms with their emotions in order to heal and move on. This book is very inspirational and I recommend it to others.
